When I started going to the gym I lived on the cardio machines. No-one showed me what to do, I was too fearful of the weights and afraid of the “men's area” (which isn't even real!)
I've tried all types of classes; from Zumba to Pole Dancing, competed in Triathlons, half marathons, a half Ironman (70.3) & numerous open water swims. I've bounced from one diet to another and have been extremely body conscious for many years.
I've had setbacks, body issues, injuries, a lack of self love, work-stress, the lot!
Eventually, I got the courage to study Personal Training and in June 2018, I qualified as a PT & Gym Instructor. Since then, I have been continuously updating my skills and knowledge.
I have qualifications in Training Program Design, Pre & Post Natal exercise, and Menopause Health.
I am also a Certified MNU Nutritionist with a distinction from my studies.
Outside of education, training and coaching, I love doing jigsaws and watching sport!
